FAQ’S

Is it possible to have metallic ink or a custom color ink for my project?

For calligraphy - not a problem! The set up fee includes the ink, whether it be black, gold, or neon pink! In order to color match, you must provide a color sample (fabric, paint chip, piece of paper, Pantone formula, ie).

For hand lettered signage, colors are a little more limited, but we can probably get close! Colors outside white, black, and gold maybe have to be ordered and may require an additional fee.

How long will it take for you to complete my order?

Projects usually take 2 weeks to finish once guest lists and paper have been received. Once you have booked your project with me (earlier is always better!) I will send a Google Doc for you to complete with your guest’s information. Please enter all information exactly as you would like it to be written.

How many envelopes/place cards do I need to provide?

Due to the nature of a hand-crafted project, accidents always happen, whether it be spilled coffee or misspelling a name. Please provide 20% extra to account for any errors. If by chance you have any additions or changes to your list, this excess in paper should cover these adjustments as well.

Is it possible to have my order rushed?

Depending on how quickly your project needs to be completed and other projects already booked, it may be possible. Rush fees are an additional 30%.

Do you take on commission pieces?

Definitely. Wedding vows, custom canvases, and signs are all options. Prices will vary greatly on materials used and size of the project. I would love to hear from you to discuss creating a custom piece of artwork.

Can I provide my own signs for you to letter?

Absolutely! You can provide one or all of the pieces for me to letter.

How long is the rental period for signs?

Signs may be picked up 2 - 5 days prior to your event and should be returned within three days following.

Can my items be delivered?

If you live in the Kansas City Metro, delivery may be possible based on schedules. Most locations between the Rivermarket and the Plaza have a basic $75 drop-off/set up fee. Venues outside of this area will have higher fees, based off time and mileage.

We broke/lost/damaged a rental piece. what now?

Depending on the item, a fee will be charged. Mirrors that return broken will have a larger cost than a broken easel or lost table number. Please be honest with any accidents that may happen.

Can you do on-site lettering at an event space?

Most likely, yes! Depending on their hours, my schedule, and the amount of work needed to be completed, on-site work is a definite option.

Can I pick up my envelopes to save on postage?

If you live in the Kansas City area, this can be arranged based upon schedules.

Do you make custom invitation suites?

Stationery design is the latest product I have added to my offerings. Due to the fact that invitation suites take more time and require more detail, I only take on a handful at a time.

What is the difference between escort cards and place cards?

Escort cards traditionally tell the guest what table at which they will be seated, where as a place card is on the table designating a specific seat.

Not all jobs are created equal.

Please remember all calligraphy is done by hand and there will always a

natural variation in the final product.
